Jeeno Thitikul’s lead is down to three through five holes
Thitikul’s playing parter Sunday is Nelly Korda, who is 1 over through five holes. Thitikul (22 under) is even through five and the six-shot lead she had when the day started is down to three over Pajaree Anannarukan, who is 3 under through five holes and has it to 19 under at Tiburon. Lots of golf left, to be sure.

Sei Young Kim and Korda are tied for third at 15 under, seven shots back of Thitikul.
Duo of Hye-Jin Choi, Stephanie Kyriacou each make Sunday ace
Their playing in twosomes Sunday at the CME and the pairing of Hye-Jin Choi and Stephanie Kyriacou have a little luck on their side. On the par-3 fifth hole, Choi made a hole-in-one. Three holes later, Kyriacou made an ace of her own. Two 1s three holes apart from the same pairing. They are both 8 under and tied for 32nd through 13 holes.
All-star duo of Jeeno Thitikul, Nelly Korda bring up the rear Sunday at CME
Jeeno Thitikul and Nelly Korda are in the final pairing Sunday at the CME Group Tour Championship. Thitikul started the final round at 22 under and six shots up on Korda. They each birdied the first hole to get to 23 and 17 under, respectively.
Does the Race to the CME Globe on the LPGA need some tweaking?
Next to no attention is given to who wins the CME points race because that player gets absolutely nothing for it. No bonus money and no advantage going into the final event of the year, where the winner receives $4 million, the largest check in women’s golf.
The CME points race is the LPGA’s most important list in that it literally determines a player’s job status for the next season. And yet, it means next to nothing to the tour’s top players and, therefore, most of the media.
