BRG Group, the most dynamic developer and owner of golf courses in Vietnam, shines at 2016 Asian Golf Awards

HANOI, Vietnam — The BRG Group, the most dynamic developer and owner of golf courses in Vietnam was once again triumphant at the 2016 Asian Golf Awards staged by the Asia Pacific Golf Group in the royal Thai city of Hua Hin on October 30.

The group’s Kings Island Golf Resort was awarded the “Best Course in Vietnam” award and this is the third time over a span of three years that the club received this prestigious recognition.

The resort had won the award in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The award is also validation of Kings Island Golf Resort’s standing as a world class facility and places it in the same league as some of Asia’s top-ranked golf clubs like China’s Mission Hills Golf Resort in Haikou, Yalong Bay Golf Course (China), Sentosa Golf Club (Singapore) and Black Mountain Golf Club (Thailand).

The award which set a record in Vietnam’s fast-growing golf industry was accepted by Madame Nguyen Thi Nga – chairman of BRG Group. Madame Nga was also bestowed the “2016 Asia Pacific Life-Time Achievement Award in Golf” and the “2016 Asia’s Most Powerful People in Golf” award.

Other awards that were presented to the BRG Group included the “Best New Golf Course in Asia Pacific” award which went to the Nicklaus Design Legend Hill Golf Resort, the first twin-green golf course in Vietnam and Asia.

The “Best Renovated Course of the Year” award was won by Ruby Tree Golf Resort.
