Overview of the press conference

Addressing the press conference, Head of the organization board, Nguyen Anh Tuan, former editor-in-chief of the Dau Tu (Investment) journal, said that over the past 9 years the program has presented 12,000 scholarships to disadvantaged students with good academic records, and financially assisted in building and repairing schools in 40 provinces and cities nationwide. The total monetary value of these activities was nearly VND 10.5 billion.

On this occasion, the organization board offered full scholarships worth VND 10 million per year each to ethnic minority students, namely Thao Seo Si (3rd year student at Thai Nguyen university of Agriculture and Forestry) and Le Van Tu (3rd year student at Hanoi National University of Education). Additionally, student Nguyen Thi Doan from the Academy of Journalism and Communication received VND 5 million.

The award was launched in 2007 by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Vietnam Study Encouragement Association. Since then it has become a prestigious charitable sports event for investors, businesses and international organizations in Vietnam.

This year’s event is part of activities celebrating the 25th founding anniversary of the Dau Tu Journal and the 10th anniversary of the golf award.
