EAGLE, Idaho — The first Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf in Vietnam opens at the BRG Golf Center in the Tay Ho District of Hanoi. The BRG Golf Center sits on the banks of West Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Hanoi, and shares land with the Victory Hotel (the historic Thang Loi Hotel). The opening was attended by Jack Nicklaus II, the son of legendary Jack Nicklaus, and the designer of the new “Kings Course” for BRG Group in the mountains of Dong Mo.
The Nicklaus Academy at BRG Golf Center will be the first of four exclusive Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf facilities to be opened by BRG Group throughout Vietnam. The partnership between BRG Group and Nicklaus Academies will be instrumental in growing the game of golf in Vietnam through Nicklaus Academies proven and successful instruction methods and Mr. Jack Nicklaus’ philosophy of how the game of golf should be played.
The Nicklaus Academy at BRG Golf Center features 36 luxury hitting stations spread over two-levels, a number of bunker training stations, a practice putting green, a GolfZon indoor simulator, a well-stocked pro shop, and the “ViBar” lounge on the roof terrace with spectacular views overlooking West Lake.
The BRG VietGolf U16 program will be headquartered at the Nicklaus Academy at BRG Golf Center. The BRG VietGolf U16 program is a national program developed and funded by BRG Group with committed support from Nicklaus Group to introduce and train young golfers in Vietnam. The vision of this program is to provide training to the youth of Vietnam with the goal of developing world-class golf professionals to represent Vietnam on the international stage.
The Nicklaus Academy at BRG Golf Center is open to the public as well as members of the BRG Golf Members. Instruction from Certified Nicklaus Academies Professionals will range from individual coaching to packages of lessons, as well as junior development, group, family and corporate programs that address all ages and ability levels. Custom club fitting will be available at the Academy.
