Pacific Links International Partners with Prestigious UK Venue

Toronto, Canada: Pacific Links International (PLI) has announced a partnership with one of the United Kingdom’s best-loved golf clubs, London Golf Club.

The addition of the 2008 and 2009 European Open, 2014 Volvo World Match Play and 2018 Staysure Seniors PGA Championship venue will provide exclusive incentives for PLI’s network golfers, located across the globe, to experience London Golf Club.

In turn, London Golf Club members will now benefit from reciprocal access to play golf at PLI network properties worldwide. With this latest addition, PLI expands its existing UK presence, demonstrating the positive impact it is providing many prestigious clubs.

“Pacific Links International continues to attract some of the top clubs around the world and it is our goal to provide real benefits to our network club partners and our network golfers. Our partnership with London Golf Club is a further realisation of this objective and I’m sure will prove to be a popular option with our International Members.”

PLI now also boasts nearly 15,000 Asia-based ‘International Members’, comprising of high-net-worth individuals with a passion for the game and for golf travel. They will now be able to select London Golf Club when booking tee-times through PLI’s proprietary Links2Golf call centre.

Reciprocal access for London Golf Club’s members will extend to golfing facilities across PLI’s growing portfolio, consisting of over 330 clubs in 32 countries, including the likes of Abu Dhabi Golf Club, Vietnam’s Laguna Lang Co and 2018 Ryder Cup venue Le Golf National. A partnership with PLI is provided with no enrolment fee to the club or its members.

Stephen Follett, Chief Executive Officer at London Golf Club, said: “Our new relationship with Pacific Links International provides an incredible opportunity for the club, as we look towards broadening our international appeal and providing our members a unique network to benefit from. We are particularly excited at the prospect of increasing our market penetration through Pacific Links’ reach within the lucrative Asian market, and I’m confident this will reap positive rewards for the club and provide a further boost for the health of the UK golf market.”

The number of PLI network clubs situated across North America, Europe, Australia, Japan and Southeast Asia has increased by almost 100 properties year-to-date. As a result, a total of approximately 120,000 golfers are now able to enjoy affiliate or reciprocal access at some of the world’s finest golfing venues. They will do so to an even greater extent in the future as PLI plans to expand its network club partnerships to encompass 500 properties.

Contributing to this expansion has been a recent agreement with US-based Arcis Golf, whereby members of PLI network clubs will receive access to 50-plus Arcis Golf properties, as well as the addition of eight of the finest golfing venues in Paris through an agreement with UGolf, a leading golf facility operator in France.

As a result of a surging PLI membership in Asia, PLI operations now include an International Travel Department, offering a boutique concierge service for golfers to access its global network. In 2017 alone, this arm of the business organised and escorted 449 groups to almost every corner of the globe, with 4,689 members and guests playing golf in Spain, Abu Dhabi, Germany, Austria, the US and several other nations worldwide.
